OSMAA to train pilots for the Swedish Coast Guard

Elisabeth Kindmark

We are happy to announce that OSMAA has won a deal to train the future pilots of the Swedish Coast Guard.

The coast guard operates three advanced airplanes, Dash 8 Q-300s, for surveillance of the entire Swedish coastline as well as the two major lakes, Vänern and Mälaren.

The students from the coast guard will train together with our regular students, this will hopefully generate a rewarding exchange of experiences.
The course structure will be next to identical with our ordinary programs, however, the final stage, which normally consists of an Airline Preparation Course will be substituted for Upset Recovery Training, something which will be more appropriate for the operations of the coast guard.

We are beyond happy to receive this mission; it feels fantastic to be able to contribute to such an important societal function!
